Guatemala City

Guatemala City, the capital of Guatemala, is a sprawling city with the largest population of any other city in Central America—some three million inhabitants. They call their city “Guate.” The city is quite modern because it had to be rebuilt after earthquakes in 1874 and 1917 destroyed much of it.
